Rat and Rodent Pest Control

Seeking rat or rodent pest control? If rats or mice have become a problem for your home or business, there are a handful of things you should know before contacting a pest control specialist.

As with any wild rodent, we strongly advise you not to handle them yourself. Rats, mice or any other wild rodents carry diseases, harmful bacteria, viruses, and other organisms especially harmful to humans. Rats and other rodents are carriers of more than 60 documented diseases and viruses. Probably the most well-known of these diseases is the bubonic plague. Also known as the Black Death, bubonic plague is transmitted by the bite of infected rats and rodents or the fleas they carry. The bubonic plague is deadly to humans and it is not worth the risk to you or your family.

Finding a rodent within your home or business, the best advice is to contact a local pest control professional for safe removal and control. Typically the presence of one rat can be a strong sign of possible infestation. Rodents are extremely resilient and can prove difficult to properly control without the help of a pest control professional. Not only can rat infestations cause serious and costly damage to your property and belongings, the diseases that can be transmitted by rats and other rodents can be extremely harmful to you and your family. If you feel you may be experiencing a rodent or rat infestation, please contact experienced pest control professionals immediately.

There are different methods out there for Rats and Mice but some sure-fire ways to get these little guys under control are standard in the industry. With a little experience and some hard work, your rodent issue should be handled fairly quickly.

Bait and snap trapping are the number one options out there. Professionals like Red Rock Pest Control are licensed to use specific baits designed to attract Rodents and kill them in a humane manner. Bait is always used inside of a rodent station. This is the safest method to keep your pets and other unwanted guests away from the bait. Unfortunately for the Rats or Mice, they love these boxes and once they feel comfortable accessing the box, it’s game over for them. They can’t resist the bait.

Snap Trapping is another option. Sometimes we must use snap traps for Rats because, in places like attics, Rats and other rodents are a little more comfortable and curious. Setting traps also ensure you don’t have a dead rodent stinking up your house after dying.

There are other key things that can be done to help out with a rodent infestation. Exclusion work such as sealing up openings is a good start. Also keeping trees trimmed away from your home will keep roof rats from sneaking in through openings on top of your home. Red Rock Pest Control offers free inspections for rodents so call us today to set your appointment.

It’s always the word of mouth that’s the best advice. Here are some of our…

We called yesterday and spoke with Dustin who was very professional and friendly. We had John, his partner out this AM ( came right on time within window of 2 hrs given) and was sooooo great! He explained what the process was and why as well as answered all our questions! He even helped roll out 4 long rolls of carpet ( not installed yet in our new home) to spray them preventatively! He was very professional and friendly as well! He will be back out in a month so we will see how the spray works… But so far the service has been excellent! Thank u John & Dustin!

These guys are great! Very professional and very Knowledgeable. I called them this morning because I saw a few scorpions in the backyard last night and wanted to start treatment ASAP! They were out here this evening and sprayed the entire perimeter of the house. They go over everything that they’re doing and answer any questions or concerns you may have. This company is best! Proud to say that I am now a customer with them.
